Donations to the Urban Studies Program

The Urban Studies Program at Penn, currently in its 52nd year, continues to cultivate a fascination with cities as levers of social change and economic development, as well as understandings of space and place as they influence the human experience. It remains a Program that centers at the intersection of theory and practice, as well as people-focused cities. Donations will help to expand interdisciplinary curricula, applied learning experiences and sustained relationships with alumni. Gifts secured through the Contributions to Urban Studies link below will be used for these purposes immediately.

By contributing to the fund, you will be helping URBS maintain its interdisciplinary approach and intimate scale, strengthen academic and curricular innovation, and continue to provide exceptional opportunities to all URBS students, ensuring that they become the heavy-hitting alumni of the future, inspired to tackle problems in unique ways and never waiver in their drive to make our cities better and more equitable for everyone.

If you would like to honor Elaine Simon in her retirement year, you may choose to Contribute to the Urban Studies Program, and then you’ll have the option to add Elaine's name, and leave her a message as well!

To honor the memory of Norm Glickman, please click his link and use the "In Memory" field to enter Norm's name.

Contributions to Eric Schneider's fund will go towards the Eric C. Schneider Crime and Punishment Award, a prize given each year to a graduating senior with the best senior thesis paper in the subject area of crime in the city.

Thank you so much, for giving any amount that’s meaningful to you, and for your support to the Urban Studies Program! We absolutely could not do this work without your support.
