The Netter Center
| Griski Room, Houston Hall (on 3rd Floor)

The Netter Center will be hosting a panel discussion about current issues relevant to public education in Philadelphia, including the recent, controversial recommendation to close 37 schools. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the schools in our community, explore current controversies, and better understand larger national trends in public education. The panel will include Dale Mezzacappa (The Notebook), Marc Manella (CEO of KIPP Philadelphia), Shanee Garner-Nelson (Public Citizens for Children and Youth), as well as representatives from The Philadelphia Student Union and The School District of Philadelphia. Lunch will be provided.
