A new photo essay, "It's about Racism and Greed" by Julia McWilliams, Amy Bach, and Elaine Simon takes on school closings in Philadelphia. The essay was recently published in Writing with Light, an online publication sponsored by the Society for Cultural Anthropology. Elaine Simon is Urban Studies Co-Director; Julia McWilliams is a Writing Fellow and Urban Studies lecturer; Amy Bach, former Urban Studies lecturer and now Assistant Professor in the College of Education at the University of Texas El Paso.
