Richard W. Berman: BFA, B’Arch, Rhode Island School of Design; MCP, MA, Ph.D., Certificate in Historic Preservation, University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Berman is a registered architect for New York State . His interests and expertise include: design at a variety of scales, with a particular focus on how people perceive and interact with the built environment. He has taught courses in the following areas: urban design, historic preservation, environmental design, city planning, and green design. He teaches for the Urban Studies Program as well as for the Master of Environmental Studies Program, and in the City and Regional Planning Department at Penn. Mr. Berman has also completed projects in several areas such as buildings, furniture and jewelry.
