Fall 2019 Share Food Internship Program

The Share Food Program is looking for interns for the Fall 2019 semester. Share Food Program is a fast-paced and lively 501(c)(3) non-profit that welcomes big ideas and big personalities at their North Philadelphia warehouse and offices at 2901 W Hunting Park Ave.

The Share Food internship program promises real responsibility and action—with a true learning experience.  They are committed to a “no getting coffee, no getting copies” internship policy--interns have real responsibility and do valuable work. These positions are unpaid, but we can promise a rewarding experience doing work that matters. 

 

2019 positions include:

Community Organizing 

Conducting regular outreach to food cupboards, recipients, and community members  to engage in advocacy campaigns, training programs, and neighborhood coordination. 

 

Data Analysis, Mapping, and GIS

Our Data Analysis and Mapping Interns analyze data, writes reports, and distributes information related to food access, hunger relief, and anti-poverty initiatives in Philadelphia. We provide maps and statistics to elected officials, community members, foundation supporters, and other local organizations. In 2019, we are looking to for interns that are both proficient in GIS and/or have strong writing skills.

 

Public Policy

Conducting meeting preparation and regular outreach to elected officials in the Greater Philadelphia area for education and advocacy around Share Food hunger relief and food access programs.

 

Film and Media Arts/Social Media and Communications

Developing and producing video, audio, and photo content for all social media platforms for Share Food. Creating social media process and calendar for sub-departments. 

 

Vulnerable Populations Programs

Assisting program managers for initiatives serving child and senior populations across Share Food Program’s system.

 

Montgomery County Outreach

Assisting Share Food Program’s Montco Hunger Solutions Initiative at our King of Prussia satellite office.

 

Supply Chain Management and Analytics

Work with internal and external customers to coordinate transportation management activities.
